DNA Learning Centre Nigeria is seeking a passionate and skilled Instructor and Science Educator to join our team.
Position: Instructor & Science Educator
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 3–5 Years
Qualification: M.Sc or PhD. in Biological or Chemical Sciences.
Location: Nigeria
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on genetics and molecular genetics instruction to pre-college students visiting the DNALC for academic year field trips and summer camps;
- Passionate science educators with strong teaching and communication skills
- Individuals committed to advancing science education in Nigeria
- Team players with hands-on instructional experience
Position Requirements
- Strong candidates will have research experience in a biology field. Ph.D. or M.S. in a related field preferred.
- The position demands a motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent writing, computer, and communication skills are required. Demonstrated experience in teaching and/or science outreach is desirable.
- Skills related to our work as a National Science Foundation center for advanced technological education are also preferred: DNA barcoding, metabarcoding, nanopore sequencing, synthetic biology, DNA sequencing, and/or bioinformatics.
